I am REALLY excited about this you guys. I have always loved botanical gardens with their steamy climate-controlled rooms and crazy carnivorous whoseywhatsits, stinkplants, and spiky things. I also have always loved the music of Angélica Negrón. Now in a once-in-a-lifetime collision of worlds, I get to play some of her music and some of mine at the New York Botanical Garden while surrounded by succulents. In other words, it’s a real win. Come on by and hear me play her piece “La Isla Mágica” for bass and electronics and my own improvised odyssey based on the inner lives (and loves) of plants. It’s all part of the #Plantlove series, which you should definitely check out either way. See you there!
